  Goa, a small land on the Indian West coast and an Union Territory famous for its beautiful beaches. Territory. Goa was part of the Union territory of Daman & Diu and Goa till May 30 1987. It is famous for its White sand beaches and the Most visited places for Youngsters/Couple/Family during the Winter. It attracts so many Indian and International tourists because Goa has so many beautiful beaches. It is only the one place which is open all day of the year. 



 Goa stands at 549.80 Sq Miles equatorial forests. Most of forests owned by Govt and small by private like 472 Sq miles by Govt and 77.21 sq miles by Private. in Goa wildlife sanctuary have (like Bondla wildlife sanctuary, Mhadei Wildlife sanctuary etc) have around 1512 species of plants, 48 Kinds of animals, 60 Genera of Reptiles and 275 Species of birds. Coconut palm trees in Goa are a ubiquitous symbol here. 

Many travelers are confused among South and North Goa. The Govt of Goa have divided Goa in two parts, one is south Goa and second is north Goa. 

People of Goa are friendly towards sightseer. They are celebrating festivals ubiquitously years like Goa Carnival, New year celebration and 25th December. 

How to Reach Goa

 There are many ways you can reach Goa easily. By Air you can reach to Goa airport which is “Debolim Airport” which is 40 Kms to Goa. By Train there is two railway stations, 1 is Mapusa and Second is Madgaon Railway station. By Bus you can easily book your bus from Mumbai/Ahmedabad or nearby places.

North Goa Places to visit

Aguada Fort
 Aguada fort is one of the famous fort in North Goa and also main attraction. With a Rich and Historical legacy of about more then 400 years, It is a marvelous and Massive flanker which have protected from attackers for saveral years. This citadel is situated in Candolim. This fort was built in 1612 to guard against the Dutch. 

Calangute beach Goa
 Calangute beach of Goa is the most famous beach in Goa holding Spectacular Charm and Beauty of Ocean and white sand. This beach is encircled by beautiful Coconut and Palm trees. Night life of Calangute beach is so attractive this is the reason behind it raw yourself to be here. 

Basilica of Bom Jesus
 The basilica of Bom jesus is located in North Goa is a Roman Catholic Basilica. It is the finest example of Baroque architecture, the Basilica is built in 1594 and construction was completed in 1605. you have to come here to see its Grandeur.

  There are so many more places to see in North Goa like Se Cathedral, Baga Beach, Chapora Fort, Vagator Beach, Sinquerim Beach, Dr Salim Ali bird sactuary (famous for bird watching), Reis Magos fort, Immaculate Conception Church, Shree Mangesh Temple, Harvalem waterfalls, Goa science centre and Planetarium etc.

South Goa Places to Visit

Cabo de Rama Fort Goa,
 Raja or King of Soonda defeated by Portuguuese, Portugues claimed the cabo de rama fort and renovated it. some part of Cabo de rama is ruined. This fort was used as a Govt prison till 1955 and abdicated again. Today this fort is a famous tourist spot in South Goa. 

Colva Beach
 Colva beach is one of the beautiful beach in South Goa and Very famous for tourist place. It is also very famous for its bars, beachers, food, pubs etc. There are so many portugal buildings (old) are also the part of attraction.

Dudhsagar Falls
 Dudhsagar waterfall is near about 54 Kms far from Colva beach. The name Dudhsagar is due to water falling from a hight so it looks like sea of milk. height of dudhsagar waterfalls i 320 meters and it is located in Goa and Karnataka border. The number of drops are 5 and there is also a railway bridge which is already shown in many bollywood movies like "chennai express".

There are many important places have to be visit like Cola Beach, Mahadev temple, Galgibaga Beach, Indian naval aviation Museum, Three kings chapel, Rajbaga beach, Leopard Valley, Ancestral Goa, Butterfly Beach, Kuske waterfall and Japanese garden etc.


Sports activities in Goa

 Yes Goa is for sports activity. You can find it everywhere, on the beach, on the sea or inside the sea. 

Scuba diving, Goa is famous for scuba diving, which offered in Grande island, Devbagh Island, Pigeon island etc and it will cost you around 1000 to 1500 per person with training and equipments included.

Knee boarding, It is also one of the best adventure to do in Goa with cost of around 500 to 700 (it may change as per season).

Kayaking in Mangroves,  Kayaking in Palolem beach which is located in Dona paula is best option as a sports activity. There are beautiful mangrove forests located here. 

Windsurfing, if you know how to use windsurfer then this place is for you because it offers one of the best experience of windsurfing in Dona paula, Calangute, Colva, baga and miramar beaches.

Jet Skiing, Jet skiing is one of the most favourite activity of tourists in Goa. Colva, Candolim, Mabor, Rajbaga and Calangute beach offers Jet Skiing.

  Apart from all of above there are many rides to do like white water rafting, Banana Tube boat ride, Parasailing, Flyboarding, Water skiing, Speed boating, Kite surfing, Ringo ride, Fishing, Yachts and cruises etc.

Food in Goa

 Goans are very good in cuisine they have many varieties of food like Fish curry, Chicken Xacuti, Patolea, Chicken xacuti, Sorpotel dish, Chicken Cafreal etc.
